GHAZNI PROVINCE, Afghanistan – Polish Brig. Gen. Andrzej Reudowicz, Task Force White Eagle commander, gave a very symbolic gift to the governor of Ghazni Province, Gov. Musa Khan, to commemorate Eid al-Adha Nov. 18.
Reudowicz presented the governor with a bull on behalf of coalition forces serving in Ghazni Province. Eid al-Adha, or Feast of Sacrifice, traditionally requires a bull be sacrificed and the meat separated into portions; one given to the poor and the other portion to be eaten by family and friends.
The presentation also provided an opportunity for Reudowicz to discuss several issues with Khan, such as the importance of the reintegration program and Ghazni Provincial Reconstruction Team projects.
The construction of a wind power station and other means of providing economical electricity were mentioned as priorities for Khan. In addition, the governor and commander discussed further cooperation and training of Afghan Nation Police in the province.
