WARDACK PROVINCE, Afghanistan – The Afghan National Army, the Afghan National Police and International Security Assistance Forces partnered to provide dental care to more than 2300 local villagers in Jalrez district, Nov. 12-13.

During this two-day event, the locals also brought their livestock to be treated by a team of local Afghan and coalition veterinarians. More than 450 animals were treated.

Word-of-mouth and radio broadcasts advertised this event, which took place in a remote mountainous region of eastern Afghanistan.

This is another example of Afghan leadership taking advantage of coalition resources and using them to benefit the Afghan population.
