PARWAN PROVINCE, Afghanistan – Coalition Forces recovered a munitions cache in the Bagram district here Aug. 15.
A coalition forces explosive ordnance disposal team recovered the munitions cache, which included more than 50 rocket-propelled grenades, and safely transported them to Bagram Airfield.
“We continue to deny the insurgents access to weapons that are used to cause harm to both innocent Afghan citizens and coalition forces,” said U.S. Army Col. William F. Roy, commanding officer, 86th Infantry Brigade Combat Team, Task Force Wolverine. “We encourage anyone with information concerning illegal weapons to contact local authorities or the Community Safety Line.”
