PAKTIKA PROVINCE, Afghanistan – Children watch as a mine resistant ambush protected vehicle slowly drives through the village of Warjana Kalay in Orgun district April 12. Members of the security force element for the Paktika Provincial Reconstruction Team’s Orgun detachment were on hand to provide security for the PRT’s civil affairs team during a key leader engagement while they were discussing the village’s most pressing needs and concerns. Paktika PRT is a joint team whose mission is to help legitimize the government of Afghanistan through development, governance and agricultural initiatives.
