NBA: Phoenix Suns Wants To Trade Jae Crowder, Who Isn’t Reporting To Camp
What can be termed the most shocking news coming from the NBA is that Phoenix Suns and Jae Crowder have agreed to part ways with each other and hence it has been decided by both parties that Jae Crowder won’t be attending the training camp of the team starting this Monday. Moreover, it should be noted that Jae Crowder is now having his last season with the team as his three-year contract will be entering its last year. The 32-year-old player will be earning $10.1 million this year.
Regarding the dispute between both parties, Jae took it to Twitter to explain his side. In the post, he stated that he learned a lot in his last two years with the side and will always be thankful to them for providing him the opportunity to learn something new. However, now, is the time for him to explore some more opportunities and look beyond this.
Jae Crowder’s Career With Phoenix Suns
With the departure of Jae Crowder, Phoenix Suns will be having a big hole to fill in as Jae was a prominent player for their side who will be badly missed now. But the team is now looking to give Cameron Johnson a bigger role to play. However, if the reports are to be believed then we can see that Jae is not the only one who is having problems with the team management.
Even in a tweet posted by the official account of the Phoenix Suns regarding the things that fans will be getting to watch during the training season, Jae replied that “99 won’t be there”. By this tweet, Jae meant that won’t be with the team during the training camp with reference to his jersey number 99. In the last season that Jae played with the team, he had an amazing average of 9.4 points along with the 5.3 rebounds that came his way in the 67 games.
Also in the first season, Jae Crowder had an astonishing average of 10.1 points along with 4.7 rebounds in 60 games. In the 60 games, he started in 42 games and even helped the team reach the finals. However, the team lost to the Milwaukee Bucks in the Finals.
If Jae leaves the Phoenix Suns and joins another team, then it will be his eighth team in the last eleven seasons that he has played. With a career average of 9.6 points and having 4.3 rebounds in 735 games for the teams like Cleveland Cavaliers, Miami Heat, Memphis Grizzlies, Phoenix Suns, and more, his career has been astonishing, and will be looking to get a new team to grow his career even to more heights.
On the other hand, Phoenix Suns will be looking to rope in some players so as to fill the void of Jae. They will be playing against the Dallas Mavericks on the 19th of October in the season opener.
